Our History

Cathy Anstett started her business in February 1991 in Bayfield, and after a short summer season, moved the business to a cozy space on Wellington Street in Stratford in later that same year. The shop began by specializing in dried and silk arrangements, but almost immediately, customers came looking for ‘something different’ and Cathy expanded her product line to include fresh flowers. Catherine Wright Designs is a unique floral shop that thrives on its motto of "Fresh Flowers, Fresh Ideas". Fifteen years later, and in a larger space, Cathy now employs a team of dedicated professionals that are committed in designing ‘works of art’ to meet a wide variety of customer needs and occasions. Whether it’s expressing love, celebrating an event, providing comfort in a loss, or simply beautifying a space, CWD has a long list of clients--both individuals as well as corporations--that have come to depend upon Cathy and her team.
